Pant Length Inconsistency

I just want to take take a moment to thank YOU, all my awesome customers! Our 10 year anniversary switched over….and I admit I hardly even noticed. Time flies! and keeps on flying. I am grateful to be able to do what I love and mostly in the way I love to do it. Once in while, when you’re in business issues come up and this is what I’d like to talk about today. I know some of you have noticed the problems we’ve been having with our pant lengths being inconsistent.

I want to apologize to all of you that have had this problem. I realize what a pain its been for you and I’m truly sorry. As you probably know we’ve been making the same pants over and over every year for the past 10+ years. We don’t change the pattern. ever!  While I take full responsibility for it happening, I want to give you some idea of why it’s happened. We’ve been buying the same fabric from the same supplier for years…then in the past year the fabric is become variable during the production process. The last batch shrank a whole 2 inches over what the previous batch did. We’ve also had inconsistency in the weight of the fabric from batch to batch, which is not acceptable. A few of the rolls were almost see through! There is always ‘some’ variability with knits due to multiple factors. One is how tightly the mill winds the fabric on the roll. But there is no reason for the amount of inconsistency we’ve seen at all.

So we’ve had no choice but to change suppliers. I have found a new supplier of bamboo and have tested the fabric, so the next production of pants will begin a new length consistency. The feel is slightly different but overall quite similar. Please bare with us as we resolve this problem. Anytime we’re happy to measure and advise inseam lengths and answer any questions you may have about your order. If you call us during office hours Mon-Friday 9-5 PST, we will almost always answer with a real person, promise!

Thank-you so much again for your support of our little Canadian company! I appreciate your loyalty very, very much!

Love Diane
