In this edition of Diane’s Lookbook we add a bit of Swank to my friend Katie’s wardrobe, as she takes a casual stroll with her furry friend (and her bearded buddy), through the beautiful park by her home.
I was lucky enough to catch Katie on her day off; she’s usually busy as a bee working as an academic advisor by day, while exploring stand-up comedy by night – writing and performing her material at local open mics around the city.
As we settle into Fall, I’m pleased that our Merlot Swank Tunic looks lovely against the Autumn backdrop. Working in Education, Katie is accustomed to a fairly conservative work environment. She was excited to try the Swank out because the T-Strap detail on the neckline gave a bit of visual intrigue to our classic scoop. She loved being able to show a touch of decolletage without becoming distracting.
It’s interesting to note that this tunic is actually an update on one of our previous tops, the Mod Tunic. We kept the free fit and added 3/4 sleeves, perfect for the cooler season.
I love that with the Serene Pant, Katie can go from writing at home to performing on stage under hot stage lights, without breaking a sweat! I think this top is absolutely wonderful on her. Her unique sense of style goes great with the sassy relaxed chicness of the tunic.
I could go on and on about my clothes, but what did Katie think about them?
Spending the day in DK felt incredibly comfy and luxurious. I could absolutely feel the difference in quality over fast fashion…I can’t resist saying it… It felt like I was walking the Swank! Yarrr.
haha Well said, Katie 🙂
